Ana Delia Lopez was born in San Miguel de Allende in 1968. She received her elementary and high school education there, but moved to Guanajuato to study architecture at the Universidad de Guanajuato.
After graduating at the head of her class in 1993, Ana Delia returned to her beloved San Miguel de Allende to draw plans for a prestigious local architect, and after one year, became an assistant architect in design and construction. Also during this time, Ana Delia taught in the Architectural School of the Universidad de Guanajuato.
In 1998 Ana Delia became a member of the Colegio de Architecturos, the Architectural Association in San Miguel de Allende.
In 2004 she became an independent architect, achieving great success in new home design and construction and in home renovation. In 2008 she became a contractor for the state of Guanajuato, designing and overseeing various public projects.
